how will i be taught?
This course will involve full student participation and deep self-reflection. There will be personal and sensitive discussions in small and large groups, group activities, role plays, and pair or triad (groups of three) work followed by observer feedback.
Assessment will be by weekly reflective learning journal and the observation of practical skills demonstrated during the course. You will also be asked to complete assignments and/or research projects/presentations. There is also an external exam set by CPCAB which is usually taken at the end of the course. You will need to commit to at least 4-5 hour of self-directed learning each week.
You must attend 85% of the course, for example, we would not expect students to miss more than 4 classes during the course. Should you exceed this amount, you may be asked to leave the course. Please note, any outstanding work not completed within the course duration will incur additional fees for the marking of assessments and tutor guidance and support.
You will take part in small group activities, be willing to share personal stories, complete a portfolio of evidence and undertake an externally assessed exam. You will have tutorials to discuss your learning and developmental needs. You will require a high level of commitment and at least 4-5 hours of self-directed learning is essential.
